You’ll be part of a district-wide team of cleaners who will be called in to help as needed. You won’t work every day, but when a vacancy or special need comes up in your area, they’ll call you in.

🧹 What Will You Be Doing?

As a cleaner, your job will include many small tasks that help the offices and public areas stay clean and comfortable. Your responsibilities will include:

Daily Cleaning Duties:

• Sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors
• Dusting desks, shelves, and workspaces
• Emptying bins and vacuuming carpets
• Washing windows, boardrooms, and common areas
• Cleaning restrooms and making sure toilet paper, soap, and other items are always available
• Watering office plants
• Washing towels and tablecloths

Tea & Refreshment Duties:

• Making and serving tea and coffee for meetings
• Cleaning cups, spoons, and plates afterward
• Restocking refreshments and supplies

Helping with Meetings:

• Setting up and cleaning meeting rooms
• Turning on lights, heaters, or air conditioners
• Helping with catering services
• Switching everything off and cleaning up after meetings

You might also be asked to do other small tasks around the office if your manager needs help.

💵 How Much Will You Be Paid?

Each person hired as a temporary cleaner will receive R10,109 per month. If you work for less than a month, your pay will be calculated pro-rata (based on the number of days worked). Please note that no extra benefits like medical aid or transport allowance will be included.
