What’s the Job About?

As a Retail Artist at MAC, your main job will be to achieve key performance targets through makeup services offered in-store. You’ll provide high-touch, personalized service to customers of all ages and ethnicities.

Building great relationships with your teammates and the wider business will be key to your success. You’ll also drive sales by promoting new products and additional services, meeting the brand’s expectations for appointments and bookings.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Sales:

Provide a warm, personal, and professional service to all customers.
Communicate effectively, listen to customer needs, ask questions, and make the experience interactive.
Suggest suitable products and colors to meet customer needs and exceed their expectations.
Assist customers with product and service selection and provide information.
Perform professional makeup applications to achieve the desired look.
Inform customers about available services, MAC programs, and philosophies.
Collect customer data for the MAC addict book or other client lists as required.
Meet individual goals for service, sales, and company objectives.
Follow good counter practices and offer great internal customer service.

You Might Also Like:

Inventory Management:

Help replenish stock and hygiene supplies, maintaining appropriate levels throughout the day.
Communicate low stock and out-of-stock items to the Retail Manager.
Assist in the proper rotation of stock.

Maintaining Work Environment:

Participate in cleaning display units, tools, and testers throughout the day, and more thoroughly at night.
Keep your work area clean and organized.
Maintain tester units in proper order and replace products as authorized by the manager.
Inform management of any store maintenance or health and safety issues.

Administrative Assistance:

Assist with inventory counts.
Be responsible for booking demos and lessons.
Follow proper security procedures regarding cash and asset handling.

Qualifications:

Grade 12
Beauty Certificate or similar
Retail Cosmetics Experience
Ability to work retail hours
