🔍 What You’ll Be Doing (Job Responsibilities)

As a Patrol Person, your duties will include:

✅ Following work instructions to ensure tasks are completed properly
✅ Reporting any issues or irregularities to your Supervisor
✅ Conducting patrols and checkpoint duties
✅ Handling security vehicles and responding to alarms
✅ Managing access control and enforcing safety rules
✅ Surveillance activities to assist with investigations
✅ Handling firearms responsibly (if applicable)
✅ Providing security assistance during community unrest or emergencies
✅ Arresting transgressors and giving evidence in disciplinary cases

You will play a critical role in keeping the workplace safe and ensuring all security tasks are handled efficiently.

📋 What You Need to Apply (Qualifications & Requirements)

To be eligible for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

✔ Education: Grade 12 (Matric) OR Grade 10 (if you have 10+ years of service in Protection Services)
✔ PSIRA Registration: Must be registered with PSIRA Grade C
✔ Firearm Competency: Handle & use a Shotgun for Business Purposes
✔ Driver’s License: Must have a valid Code B license (Company Driver’s License is an advantage)
✔ Armored Vehicle Driving Course (Advantageous)
✔ Experience: Minimum 2 years in security or a related field (supervisory experience is a plus)

🔹 Computer literacy
🔹 Strong communication skills (English – reading, writing, and speaking)
🔹 Good at handling emergencies
🔹 Experience with SAPS firearm competency
🔹 Able to write statements & open case dockets
🔹 Pass a polygraph test & psychometric assessment
🔹 No criminal record
