EPWP Vacancies (250 Posts)
- Department: Social Services Department
- Duration: 24 months
- Stipend: R130.00 per day
Position Breakdown:
- Waste Collection: 65 Posts
- Street Cleaning: 45 Posts
- Roads and Storm Management: 60 Posts
- Water Management: 40 Posts
- Parks and Beautification: 20 Posts
- Facility Management: 20 Posts
Duties:
As an EPWP worker, you’ll be responsible for:
- Cleaning, mopping, sweeping, and litter picking
- Street cleaning and gutter maintenance
- Clearing illegal dumping sites and walkways
- Separating waste at source
- Any other duties assigned by the Head of Department or their designate
Requirements:
To apply, you must:
- Be unemployed (preference given to indigent households)
- Preference will be given to youth, people with disabilities, women, and those living close to the areas to be cleaned
- A Matric certificate is an added advantage
- Be a full-time resident of Thembisile Hani Local Municipality
- Be in good physical health
- Provide proof of residential address from councilors, with ward numbers clearly stated on the CV
