Key Responsibilities of the SHE Learner

During this learnership, you’ll be actively involved in maintaining and improving the SHE Management System for Weir Minerals in Africa. Your tasks will include:

On-the-job training to support the improvement and sustainability of the Africa SHE Management System.
Administrative duties such as document control and updating SHE documents in line with ISO and Weir Group Standards.
Coordinating and maintaining SHE electronic management systems, including accurate data entry and documentation.
Promoting safety by showing 100% commitment to zero harm behaviours and supporting Weir’s world-class safety culture.

Who Can Apply?

To be considered for this opportunity, you need:

Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent with Mathematical Literacy
Computer literacy (basic skills in Microsoft Office and data handling)

No prior SHE experience is required — this learnership is designed to give you the training and exposure you need to start your career in safety.

Location of the Learnership

The SHE Learnership is available in Alrode, Isando, and Port Elizabeth. This is an onsite programme, so you’ll be working in a real industrial and operational environment, gaining valuable experience that can set you apart in the job market.
