
Boshof Solar Power invites motivated and hardworking youth from Boshof and Hertzogville (within the Tokologo Local Municipality) to apply for the Industrial Electrician Learnership Programme for 2026. This fully sponsored three-year training opportunity is designed to help young South Africans develop technical skills and qualify as professional Industrial Electricians. The Boshof Solar Power Learnership is a structured three-year training programme that combines both theoretical learning and practical experience. The programme is conducted in partnership with the Artisan Training Institute (ATI), one of South Africa’s leading technical training providers.
Learners will complete Phase 1, 2, and 3 training, which includes intensive classroom instruction and hands-on work experience. After successfully completing all phases, participants will be eligible to take their trade test to become certified Industrial Electricians.
This Learnership plays a key role in helping local youth gain valuable technical skills while contributing to South Africa’s growing renewable energy sector. It’s part of Boshof Solar Power’s long-term commitment to community development and sustainability.

Boshof Solar Power is a 66MW photovoltaic (PV) power plant located in the Free State. Since becoming operational in 2014, it has produced approximately 132,000 MWh of clean energy every year, contributing to South Africa’s national electricity grid as part of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producers Procurement Programme (REIPPPP).
