Are you looking for a hands-on job where you can assist customers, manage stock, and help keep a retail environment running smoothly? Brights Hardware is hiring two General Assistants to join our Langebaan team. If you have great customer service skills and enjoy physical, active work, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

✅ What Will You Be Doing?

As a General Assistant, your main responsibilities will include:

🔹 Loading and Unloading Stock:

Help customers, delivery trucks, and transfer trucks load and unload goods quickly and correctly.
Make sure all stock is stacked and counted properly.

🔹 Stock Handling & Reporting:

Assist with pulling stock for transfers.
Report stock shortages and breakages immediately.

🔹 Housekeeping & Maintenance:

Keep the work area clean, tidy, and organized.
Sweep and maintain a safe and clutter-free environment.

🔹 Customer Service:

Help customers find the right products and provide excellent service.
Offer product knowledge and support to ensure customers leave satisfied.

🔹 Stock Control & Counting:

Assist in stocktaking activities to ensure accurate inventory.
Bag stone, sand, and other materials as needed.

🔹 Follow Instructions & Teamwork:

Perform any work-related tasks assigned by your supervisor.
Work well both independently and as part of a team.

📌 What You Need to Apply

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

✔️ Matric certificate (Grade 12) OR completion of three Intercept courses (120 credits).
✔️ At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
✔️ Completion of Brights Induction (Service Excellence) training (preferred).
✔️ Strong customer service skills – friendly, helpful, and professional.
✔️ Ability to count stock accurately and work efficiently.
✔️ Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work under pressure.
✔️ Must be physically fit and have good stamina (this is an active job).
✔️ Good verbal communication skills to assist customers effectively.
