Do you have a Matric and want to start working right away? Then Brights Hardware has a great opportunity for you. They’re looking for General Assistants to join their team and help make the store run smoothly.

This job is all about making customers happy, keeping the yard clean and organized, and making sure stock is loaded and handled the right way. Whether you’re helping customers in the yard or loading goods onto delivery trucks, you’ll be playing an important part in the store’s success.

You’ll also work with a team of friendly people, learn how the hardware business works, and gain skills that can help you move up in the company over time.

What Will You Do as a General Assistant?

Your main job is to help customers and keep the yard running smoothly. Here are some of the key things you’ll do:

• Load customer vehicles, delivery trucks, and transfer trucks quickly and correctly
• Stack and count stock carefully
• Pull stock for transfers when needed
• Report any shortages or breakages to your supervisor
• Help keep the area neat and clean by sweeping and tidying up
• Provide great customer service with a helpful attitude
• Bag stone, sand, or other loose products
• Help during stock counts
• Do any other tasks your manager gives you

This role is perfect if you like to stay active, be part of a team, and help others. Every day will be different, and there’s always something to do.

Who Can Apply?

To be considered for this opportunity, you should:

• Have a Matric certificate or equivalent
• Have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role (preferred but not a must)
• Be able to deliver excellent customer service
• Know how to count stock accurately
• Be able to work well on your own and with a team
• Be motivated and follow instructions
• Handle pressure without losing focus
• Speak clearly and communicate well
• Be physically fit and strong, as the job includes lifting and moving things
