🥖 What Does a Baker Do at Checkers?

As a Baker at Checkers Rock Cottage, your main job is to create delicious and fresh baked goods every day. Your work will bring smiles to customers and help drive sales with irresistible treats.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

✅ Preparing and baking a variety of products, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies using Checkers’ trusted recipes.
✅ Ensuring high-quality and consistent baked goods that customers will love.
✅ Keeping the baking area clean and organized according to health and safety regulations.
✅ Working as a team to meet sales targets and manage bakery stock efficiently.
✅ Experimenting with new recipes to bring exciting baked goods to the store.

Daily Tasks Include:

🍞 Baking – Mixing, preparing dough, and following the daily baking schedule.
🥚 Ingredient Management – Measuring, mixing, and ensuring the bakery is stocked with fresh ingredients.
🎂 Quality Control – Checking that every baked item meets Checkers’ high standards.
🧼 Cleaning – Keeping the bakery area clean, ensuring all equipment and utensils are spotless.
🛍️ Customer Service – Assisting customers, answering questions, and sharing product knowledge.
👨‍🍳 Teamwork – Collaborating with fellow bakers and store staff to maintain smooth bakery operations.

📌 What You Need to Apply

Minimum Requirements:

✔ Grade 12 qualification (Matric)
✔ Formal baking or pastry training is a plus but not required

Experience Needed:
