As a General Assistant in Distribution, you will play a crucial role in supporting electrical reticulation, maintenance, and construction projects. Your contributions will help ensure the smooth operation of our energy distribution network, making a real difference in our community.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Grade 10 certificate.
Experience: At least 1 year in a similar environment.
Physical Requirements: Must not be color blind, and should be medically and physically fit to handle the demands of the job.

Core Responsibilities

Cable Laying: Assist in the laying of cables for electrical reticulation, and handle installation and service connection maintenance.
Equipment Handling: Move and manage heavy equipment for reticulation and LPU (Large Power Users) metering installation projects.
Overhead Line Construction: Participate in planting poles and constructing overhead lines for maintenance and metering projects.
Plant Operation: Safely operate and maintain plant, mechanical equipment, and tools.
General Maintenance: Perform tasks such as cleaning, sweeping, painting, and overall site maintenance.
Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety regulations as per the OHS Act.
Support Tasks: Assist the supervisor in executing work-related instructions and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
