Your Chance to Build a Future with the City of Ekurhuleni

Finding a job today can feel impossible, especially if you don’t have much experience. That’s exactly why the City of Ekurhuleni is offering this Learnership Programme – to give young South Africans real opportunities to learn, work, and prepare for a successful career.

Through the LED Learnership: XREAL004, you’ll get the chance to work directly with the Real Estate and Development Planning Department while receiving structured training. You won’t just be reading about skills—you’ll be using them every day while being paid a monthly stipend.

What Makes This Learnership Special?

Successful candidates will:

  • Work as part of a professional team while learning.
  • Attend training sessions to build real-world customer service and communication skills.
  • Gain experience handling real situations that employers care about.
  • Get paid a stipend of R3,000 per month while you learn.

What You’ll Be Doing During the Learnership

Once accepted, you’ll participate in both work and training sessions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working for the City of Ekurhuleni as part of your learning.
  • Participating fully in all required training and practical work experiences.
  • Following all workplace policies and procedures.
  • Keeping accurate timesheets and completing any written assessments required to track your progress.
  • Attending all theoretical learning sessions provided by the training organization.
  • Completing all tasks assigned by your mentor or supervisor.
  • Working closely with your teammates and supervisors.
  • Always maintaining confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with colleagues and the public.

This programme is not just about sitting in a classroom; it’s about learning by doing. You’ll be involved in real tasks that will prepare you for full-time work in the future.
