If you are looking for a stable role in a respected healthcare environment and you have experience in laundry operations, this could be the chance you have been waiting for.
Clinix Health Group is known for delivering quality healthcare services across its hospitals. Behind every clean ward, theatre, and patient bed is a dedicated support team that ensures high hygiene and safety standards. Laundry Assistants play a very important role in making sure hospitals always have clean, safe, and infection-free linen available.
In a hospital, clean linen is not just about neatness. It is about patient safety, infection control, and comfort. Laundry Assistants help protect patients, staff, and visitors by making sure all linen is properly cleaned, sorted, and handled according to strict healthcare standards.
At Clinix Health Group, Laundry Assistants are trusted with maintaining these high standards every day. This role suits people who are detail-focused, disciplined, and comfortable working in a structured environment.
The main responsibility of a Laundry Assistant is to maintain an adequate supply of clean and infection-free linen for all Clinix Health Group hospitals. This is done by washing, sorting, drying, folding, and preparing laundry items correctly and on time.
You will be part of a team that works together to meet daily targets while following health, safety, and infection control rules.
To be considered for one of the Laundry Assistant posts, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Hospital experience is especially important because healthcare laundry requires stricter standards than general laundry services.
Laundry Assistants must follow all Laundry, Clinix Health Group, and Health and Safety standards when performing their duties. These rules are in place to protect patients, staff, and the laundry team.
You will be responsible for receiving and sorting soiled linen and laundry items. This includes separating different categories of linen when required and treating items according to set standards.
Strict sanitation and infection control guidelines must be followed at all times. This includes correct handling, cleaning, sorting, and washing of linen to prevent the spread of infections.
Laundry Assistants are required to correctly operate laundry machines and equipment according to manufacturer guidelines. If any problems or faults are noticed, these must be reported immediately to the shift team leader or Laundry Manager.
A large part of the job involves sorting, washing, drying, and folding linen and related items. Daily targets must be met to ensure hospitals always have enough clean linen available.
You will be responsible for keeping records of damaged or condemned linen. Accurate reporting helps the hospital manage stock levels and maintain quality standards.
The laundry area must remain clean and organised at all times. This includes regular cleaning and basic maintenance of the laundry area and equipment.
Once linen is clean and ready, it must be packed and wrapped properly for pickup. All items must have the correct identifiable tags clearly visible to avoid mix-ups.
Laundry Assistants also help with stocking laundry supplies when needed. This ensures that operations are not delayed due to a lack of materials.
From time to time, you may be asked to perform other duties related to laundry operations. Being flexible and willing to assist where needed is important in this role.
To perform well as a Laundry Assistant at Clinix Health Group, the following qualities are important:
Small mistakes can lead to hygiene risks. Accuracy and careful handling of linen are essential.
Hospital environments require strict routines and rules. Following procedures correctly is very important.
Laundry work can be physically demanding and may involve standing for long periods and handling heavy loads.
Laundry operations depend on teamwork. You will need to work well with others to meet daily targets.
Hospitals depend on clean linen every day. Being dependable and consistent in your work is key.
Clinix Health Group offers a professional and structured working environment where support roles are valued. As a Laundry Assistant, your work directly supports patient care and hospital operations.
This role offers stability, clear responsibilities, and the opportunity to build experience within the healthcare sector. If you already have hospital laundry experience, this position allows you to continue growing in a field where your skills truly matter.
