What is a Sales Trainee?

As a Sales Trainee, you’ll be introduced to how the Sales Department works within a fast-paced company like Coca-Cola. You’ll stand in for Sales Reps and Account Developers, help coordinate promotions and events, and support the sales team across various activities.

The goal is simple — by the end of the programme, you’ll have the knowledge and skills to step into a full Sales Rep position with confidence.

What You’ll Be Doing

During your training, you’ll take part in various hands-on tasks and real-world sales responsibilities, including:

• Representing Coca-Cola in sales activities when Sales Reps are unavailable
• Finding new business opportunities and growing market presence
• Supporting in-store promotions and local marketing events
• Helping plan and set up special brand events (only for the Touch Channel division)
• Managing and taking care of company assets (like promotional stands, equipment, and stock)
• Working with the team to make sure Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards are followed

You’ll not only be learning about the Coca-Cola brand but also about customer relationships, market development, and how to handle the pressure of real sales targets.

Who Can Apply?

This Sales Trainee opportunity is open to candidates who meet the following criteria:

Minimum Requirements:

• A 3-year National Diploma (NQF 6) in Sales, Marketing, or Business (preferred)
• At least 2 years’ experience in the FMCG industry (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods)
• Promotional experience is a plus (especially for those applying in the Touch Channel)
• Able to use Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Must have a valid driver’s licence

If you’ve done promotions, worked with customers, or supported sales teams before, that’s a big advantage. Coca-Cola is looking for people who are hungry to learn and ready to hustle.
