🔑 What Will You Do? (Key Responsibilities)

As a Patrolperson, you will play a crucial role in maintaining security and protecting both employees and assets at one of Anglo Platinum’s mining operations. Your main tasks will include:

✔ Conducting routine patrols on foot or by vehicle to ensure safety and security.
✔ Responding to alarms and taking the appropriate actions to resolve security issues.
✔ Monitoring access controls and ensuring that only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
✔ Gathering information that supports risk management and reporting any irregularities to your supervisor.
✔ Using security equipment (radios, telephones, etc.) effectively to communicate and manage security tasks.
✔ Promoting security awareness by reminding team members to follow proper procedures.
✔ Reporting incidents or security concerns to your supervisor in a timely and accurate manner.
✔ Arresting violators within the boundaries of the law when necessary.
✔ Participating in safety, health, and environmental meetings to contribute to a safer workplace.

🎓 Qualifications & Requirements

✅ Education: Grade 12 (Matric)
✅ Experience: Previous experience as a Patrolperson or in a similar role is an advantage.
✅ Certifications:

Registered with PSIRA Grade C
Firearm Competency
Valid driver’s license (Code B)
✅ Skills & Knowledge:
Basic computer literacy
Fluent communication in English (both written and spoken)
Ability to handle emergency situations effectively
