About the Role

As a Security Officer, your main duty is to ensure the safety and security of the Compensation Fund’s buildings, equipment, and personnel. You will conduct patrols, follow security procedures, and help maintain a safe working environment for staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct security operations according to policy and procedures.
• Protect equipment, buildings, and premises from theft, damage, or unauthorized access.
• Patrol designated areas and report any unsafe conditions.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Education: Grade 12/Matric (NQF Level 4)
• Security Certification: PSIRA Grade C (Private Security Regulatory Authority)
• Experience: 1–2 years in the security industry
• Knowledge:
  • Compensation Fund objectives, services, and policies
  • Batho Pele principles for customer service
  • Public Service Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Public Finance Management Act, and relevant security legislation
• Skills: Interpersonal, communication, organizing, problem-solving, computer literacy, telephone etiquette
• Citizenship: South African citizen with a clear criminal record
