What You’ll Be Doing Every Day
As a Cleaner at Dis-Chem, your role is essential in keeping the store neat, tidy, and hygienic at all times. From the shop floor to staff areas, you’ll help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers and employees alike.
Your duties will include:
- Cleaning the store, shop floor, stockroom, canteen, and restrooms before the store opens
- Restocking cleaning products in bathrooms and kitchens
- Being available throughout the day to clean spills or messes
- Following proper safety procedures while using cleaning products
- Making sure wet floor signs are in place when cleaning
- Delivering professional, friendly service when approached by customers
- Following all Health & Safety rules on-site
What You Need to Apply
✅ Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- 6 months’ cleaning experience
- Able to speak and understand English
- Good customer service attitude
- Able and willing to work retail hours (including weekends & holidays)
- Must be physically fit – walking, standing, lifting, etc.
💡 Bonus (Advantageous but not required):
- Bilingual (especially local languages)
- Previous experience in retail cleaning
