🛠️ Job 1: Shift Overseer

Deadline to apply: 05 May 2025

If you’re an experienced miner looking to grow, this Shift Overseer position is for you. You’ll help lead a mining team, keep operations safe, and ensure targets are met.

Requirements:

• Grade 10 Certificate (minimum)
• Blasting Certificate (Scheduled Mines) or National Certificate: Hard Rock Underground
• Shiftboss Certificate
• Valid Driver’s Licence (Code 08/B)
• Advantage: Mine Overseer Certificate
• Advantage: Grade 12 Certificate

Experience Needed:

• At least 5 years of underground mining experience
• 2 of those years should be in a trackless mining environment
• Advantage: 2 years as a Production Shift Overseer or similar role

Main Duties:

• Manage workers, machines, and tools to hit production goals
• Make sure safety rules are always followed
• Train team members on mining procedures
• Quickly report any accidents or issues
• Handle investigations and take steps to prevent future problems
• Complete regular risk assessments
