🎯 Who Can Apply? (Minimum Requirements)

To qualify for this job, you must have:

✔️ Grade 10 / Standard 8 Certificate
✔️ Competent B Certificate (Mining Safety Qualification)
✔️ Blasting Assistant Certificate
✔️ Valid Code 08 (B) Driver’s License
✔️ Completed an Approved Training Programme
✔️ At Least 1 Year of Practical Underground Mining Experience
✔️ (Advantageous) 6 Months of UV Operator Experience

🏗️ What Will You Do? (Job Responsibilities)

As a UV Operator, you’ll be responsible for:

🔹 Operating Heavy Mining Equipment – Transporting materials and explosives safely and efficiently.
🔹 Following Safety Regulations – Ensuring all work is done according to approved procedures.
🔹 Conducting Pre-Start Equipment Checks – Using a checklist to identify and fix minor issues before starting work.
🔹 Reporting Equipment Breakdowns – Notifying supervisors immediately if there are any machine faults or issues.
🔹 Performing Minor Maintenance – Keeping assigned vehicles in top working condition.
🔹 Handling & Transporting Explosives – Following strict safety guidelines when moving and using explosives.
🔹 Recording Work Logs – Documenting vehicle usage and reporting defects to the supervisor at the end of shifts.
🔹 Assisting with Blasting Operations – Helping insert fuses, charge explosives, and operate blasting controls.
