eMedia Is Looking For New Trainee Electrician – Apply With Grade 11

eMedia invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Trainee Electrician vacancies. If you have a passion for electrical work and want to grow your skills in a hands-on environment, this opportunity could be the next big step in your career. This is a permanent position, offering stability and real technical experience that can help you build a strong future in the electrical field.

A Growing Career Path for Young Technicians

Many young people want to enter technical trades but struggle to find opportunities that offer real training and mentorship. eMedia is opening its doors for individuals who want to learn, develop, and gain practical experience in electrical work. The company is known for its professional environment, structured work systems, and focus on teamwork. As a Trainee Electrician, you will not only work with equipment but also learn how to fix, test, and understand electrical systems used in the workplace.

This role suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, hands-on work, and being part of a team that values accuracy and responsibility. Even though it is a trainee role, you will take on important tasks that help the entire technical department run smoothly.

What the Job Really Involves

The Trainee Electrician position is designed for someone who wants to build experience while performing real electrical work. You will spend your days repairing, testing, wiring, and assisting with different electrical systems. Here is what you can expect:

Repairing and Testing Equipment

You will help repair electrical equipment, including distribution boxes and generator wiring. Every repair must be logged correctly on the job card system so that the team can track progress and keep proper records. This is important because accurate reporting helps improve work quality and ensures safety.

You will also test equipment to identify faults. This means using tools and following procedures to check what is wrong so that repairs can be done properly. Doing this well requires patience, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical instructions.

Fault Finding and Problem Solving

One of the biggest parts of electrical work is understanding why something is not working. You will learn how to trace problems, check wiring, and pick up small issues that can affect the performance of equipment. Fault-finding is a skill that takes time to master, and this role gives you the chance to practice it daily.

Assisting With Generator Wiring

You will also help the team with wiring generators when needed. This task is important because generators play a major role in keeping operations running during power interruptions. Being involved in this work gives you valuable experience that many companies look for when hiring electricians.

Handling Adhoc Electrical Repairs

Sometimes unexpected problems happen. You will help with smaller repair tasks when needed, as long as they fall within your level of training. This teaches you how to work under pressure and respond quickly when something needs fixing.

Working With the Team

eMedia values strong teamwork, communication, and supportive relationships. You will work closely with experienced technicians who will guide and teach you. The company believes that a good working environment helps everyone perform better. You must be willing to learn, listen, and contribute to the team’s success.

Minimum Requirements You Must Have

Before applying, make sure you meet the following requirements:

Qualifications

  • Grade 11 (Essential)
  • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technician (Recommended but not required)

Experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in electrical operational work (Essential)

Driver’s License

  • Code B (Essential)

Technology Skills

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Technical Abilities

eMedia is looking for someone who shows:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Willingness to learn continuously
  • Good time management
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure

These skills help you handle electrical tasks safely, accurately, and responsibly.

Why This Job Can Change Your Future

Becoming a Trainee Electrician is one of the best starting points for building a long-term career in the electrical industry. You gain real experience, learn how to diagnose technical problems, and work with professionals who understand the field well. Many successful electricians started with roles just like this one.

If you enjoy working with your hands, fixing things, and learning how electrical systems work, this role could open doors for you. It is also a permanent job, which gives you stability while you learn and grow.
