About the Food Services Assistant Position

As a Food Services Assistant, you will support the daily food service operations by helping with food preparation, serving customers, and ensuring that both front-of-house and back-of-house areas operate efficiently.

This position requires someone who enjoys working with people, follows hygiene standards carefully, and takes pride in providing quality service. You will also help ensure that all Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations are followed throughout your daily duties.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting with food preparation and food production activities.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Previous working experience in the hospitality industry is essential.
  • Customer service experience will be an added advantage.
  • A Food and Beverage or Culinary Arts qualification will be beneficial but is not compulsory.

Applicants who have experience working in restaurants, hotels, catering companies, hospitals, school kitchens, or other hospitality environments may have an advantage during the recruitment process.
