As an Operational Basic Ambulance Assistant (BAA), your primary role will be to respond to emergency calls, provide lifesaving medical assistance, and ensure that ambulances are always ready to go.

📢 Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this life-changing opportunity, you must have:
✅ Basic Ambulance Assistant (BAA) Certificate
✅ 6 months – 1 year of Basic Life Support (BLS) road experience
✅ Proficiency in English (written & verbal)
✅ Ability to work under pressure in emergency situations
✅ Physical stamina to perform emergency procedures

💡 Bonus: If you have 2+ years of BLS road experience or have completed training aligned with the Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) from HPCSA, you have an advantage!

🛠 Job Responsibilities

As an Operational Basic Ambulance Assistant, your duties will include:

🚑 Emergency Response – Arriving at accident scenes or emergencies and providing immediate medical care.

🩺 Patient Care – Administering first aid and lifesaving medical procedures within the Basic Life Support (BLS) scope of practice.

📋 Record Keeping – Completing Patient Report Forms (PRFs) accurately and maintaining proper documentation.

⚙️ Operational Readiness – Ensuring that ambulances and medical equipment are always in top working condition.

⚖️ Compliance & Regulations – Following HPCSA guidelines and adhering to ER24’s best practices.

👥 Community Engagement – Representing ER24 in a professional and compassionate manner while interacting with patients, families, and the public.
