About the Role

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

Grade 10 or equivalent qualification.
Previous general work experience is required.
No criminal record.
Must have your own accommodation in George or surrounding areas.
Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts.
Physically fit and able to perform hands-on tasks.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities will include a variety of tasks to keep the golf course clean, safe, and beautiful. Some of the key duties are:

Hand raking bunkers daily to maintain a consistent sand depth of 110mm.
Removing weeds, grass, stones, litter, tree leaves, and grass clippings from bunkers and surrounding areas.
Operating various gardening and maintenance equipment, including:
- Weed eaters
- Flymos
- Blowers
- Push mowers
Sod work, which involves repairing and laying new turf as required.

These tasks are essential to ensure that golfers have an exceptional experience when playing on the course.
