What You Will Do

• Work well with others as part of a team using good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Keep food safety and hygiene at the highest standards following TSAfrika rules.
• Prepare and present food items with care and attention.
• Make sure portion sizes are correct to avoid waste and meet standards.
• Deliver food on time to customers or departments.
• Help plan menus and manage the stock of ingredients.
• Be flexible to work extra hours when needed.
• Stay updated on current food trends and best cooking practices.

Skills You Should Have

• Good verbal and written communication.
• Computer skills for tasks related to planning and stock management.
• Strong planning and organizing skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and support colleagues.
• Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of food preparation.
• Client service skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to manage time and tasks efficiently.

What You Need to Apply

• Proven experience in cooking, especially as a grill cook or similar role.
• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate is required.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Having a formal culinary qualification is a plus but not mandatory.
