Fidelity Services Group Hotel Security Officer Vacancies (Grade A–C)

Fidelity Services Group invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Hotel Security Officer Vacancies (Grade A–C). The closing date for applications is 28 February 2026.
This opportunity is ideal for experienced security professionals who are confident, disciplined, and understand the high standards required in a hotel or hospitality environment. If you take pride in your appearance, stay calm under pressure, and enjoy working with people while keeping them safe, this role could be the right move for you.

Fidelity Services Group is looking for dedicated Hotel Security Officers who can protect hotel guests, staff, and property while delivering professional and respectful service at all times.

What Makes This Hotel Security Role Different

Hotel security is not the same as guarding an industrial site or warehouse. In a hotel environment, guests expect safety without feeling uncomfortable or restricted. This means security officers must be alert, respectful, well-presented, and able to communicate clearly with people from different backgrounds.

As a Hotel Security Officer, you will be the face of safety in the hotel. Your presence alone should make guests feel secure, while your actions should always reflect professionalism and control.

Main Duties and Daily Responsibilities

Keeping the Hotel Safe at All Times

Your primary responsibility will be to patrol the hotel premises regularly. This includes public areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and restricted zones. You will monitor security systems and look out for anything that could pose a risk to guests, staff, or property.

By staying alert and visible, you help prevent incidents before they happen. A professional security presence often acts as a strong deterrent to criminal activity.

Handling Incidents and Emergencies

When incidents do occur, you will be expected to respond quickly and responsibly. This may include dealing with disturbances, theft, medical emergencies, or suspicious behaviour. You must remain calm, think clearly, and take appropriate action based on hotel procedures.

In some situations, you may need to coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services. Clear communication and accurate information are very important in these moments.

Working With Guests and Staff

Professional Interaction at All Times

Hotel Security Officers interact with guests daily. You may be asked for directions, assistance, or help resolving concerns. Good customer service skills are essential, as guests should always feel respected and supported.

You will also monitor staff behaviour to ensure that hotel rules and procedures are followed. This must be done in a firm but respectful manner.

Reporting and Record Keeping

All security-related incidents must be recorded accurately. You will be required to complete detailed reports and keep proper records of patrols, incidents, and actions taken. These reports are important for management, investigations, and future planning.

Attention to detail is very important, as reports must be clear, honest, and professional.

Experience and Qualifications Needed

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in hospitality or hotel security
  • A valid PSIRA certificate (Grade A, B, or C)
  • Matric certificate
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in stressful situations
  • Physically fit and able to stand or walk for long periods

Experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is especially important, as it shows you understand the standards and expectations of this type of workplace.

Personal Qualities That Matter

Appearance and Discipline

Fidelity Services Group is looking for officers who are well-groomed and well-presented at all times. Your appearance reflects both the hotel and the security company, so professionalism is not optional.

You must be disciplined, reliable, and committed to following rules and procedures exactly as required.

Flexibility and Reliability

Hotels operate 24 hours a day, which means you must be willing to work flexible shifts. This includes nights, weekends, and public holidays. Reliability is key, as security coverage must always be maintained.

You must also be willing to undergo background checks and drug screening as part of the employment process.

Why This Role Can Be a Strong Career Move

Working as a Hotel Security Officer gives you valuable experience in a high-standard environment. It helps build skills in communication, conflict management, reporting, and customer interaction. These skills are useful for long-term growth in the security industry.

Being part of a respected company like Fidelity Services Group also adds value to your professional profile and can open doors to future opportunities.

Important Dates to Remember

  • Position: Hotel Security Officer (Grade A–C)
  • Industry: Hospitality / Security
  • Closing Date: 28 February 2026

Applications submitted after the closing date may not be considered, so it is important to apply as soon as possible.

Ready to Take Responsibility and Step Forward?

If you have hospitality security experience, take pride in your work, and are serious about protecting people and property, this Hotel Security Officer role could be your next step. Make sure your application clearly shows your experience, qualifications, and readiness to work in a hotel environment.

This is more than just a guarding job. It is a role that requires trust, professionalism, and confidence every single day.
