🧠 What’s This Job About?

As a Control Room Operator, you’ll be the voice behind the scenes—handling emergency signals, dispatching response units, and providing top-level client service from the security monitoring center.

✅ Minimum Requirements:

• 📖 Matric / Grade 12
• 🎖️ PSIRA Grade C Certificate
• 💬 Good verbal and written communication skills
• 💻 Basic computer skills (you’ll be using security monitoring systems)

🔧 Job Duties Include:

📞 Emergency Response & Monitoring

• Handle and act on emergency and non-emergency alarms
• Call clients, key holders, and security personnel
• Record all call details into the monitoring system
• Monitor response and patrol vehicles
• Update duty rosters and timesheets

🖥️ Computer & Equipment Use

• Report system or phone issues to supervisors
• Only use phones for work purposes
• Always follow safety and zero harm policies

🧼 Clean and Tidy Workspace

• Keep your workstation clean and professional at all times

🤝 Client Interaction

• Help clients with complaints or questions over the phone
• Record faulty alarm systems and pass the info to the right team
• Report any sales leads to management
• Update client info (e.g., holiday instructions)

📋 Admin & SOP Compliance

• Follow all standard operating procedures
• Meet performance targets
• Attend team meetings and training
• Take part in other ad hoc tasks when needed
