What the Job Involves

As a FlySafair Cadet, you won’t just be sitting in a classroom. You will go through a comprehensive training program that includes:

Ground school sessions, simulator practice, and real-world flight instruction.
Learning everything about aircraft systems, flight theory, and operational procedures.
Building strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Keeping safety your number one priority while following all aviation rules and regulations.
Attending regular briefings, debriefings, and feedback sessions with your trainers.
Keeping detailed training records and taking part in performance reviews.
Preparing yourself step by step to move from cadet level to First Officer.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following requirements:

Grade 12 or equivalent (essential).
Valid Commercial Pilot’s License (essential).
Multi Engine Instrument Rating (essential).
Class I Medical Certificate (essential).
At least 200 total flying hours, including 10 hours of Multi-Engine Piston (PIC) time.
South African Citizen with a valid RSA passport and driver’s license.
Willingness to sign a 7-year training bond.
No criminal record or medical conditions.
Must pass a drug and alcohol test.
Own reliable transport.

On top of these requirements, candidates should also understand South African weather systems, ATNS radiotelephonic procedures, SACAA regulations, and IFR procedures.
