Job Description

As a General Assistant (Butchery Packer), you will play a key role in ensuring our customers have a pleasant shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers, maintaining a clean and organized store, and processing payments. Your friendly and helpful attitude is essential in providing excellent customer service and promoting a positive image for our store.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Assistance: Share accurate product information, help customers choose products, and demonstrate their use.
Customer Service: Solve customer problems, greet customers, offer help, and answer questions with a positive and friendly attitude.
Sales Promotion: Inform customers about sales and special offers.
Payment Processing: Handle cash and card payments, issue receipts, and process refunds and exchanges correctly.
Stock Management: Receive deliveries, organize products, keep track of stock, and restock items quickly.
Store Maintenance: Dispose of waste properly, assist with stock takes, and clean designated areas such as the storeroom and kitchen.
Safety Compliance: Follow safety, security, and environmental rules, policies, and procedures, including emergency protocols.

Qualifications and Skills

Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
Reliable transport access
Familiarity with health and safety guidelines for meat handling and storage
