What Will You Do as an Assistant General Worker?

Your main job will be to help out on site and support different teams with their daily tasks. This role is perfect if you like working with others and want to learn more about how things operate on large projects.

Some of your daily tasks will include:

Working closely with site teams to help reach operational goals and targets.
Helping with daily checks in your work area and reporting any hazards or problems.
Assisting with pipeline and valve work, but always under supervision.
Helping solve problems that come up on site and telling the right people about issues.
Supporting any other general tasks given by supervisors to keep operations running smoothly.
Doing basic housekeeping to keep the work areas clean and safe.
Following all safety rules and company procedures carefully.
Completing your tasks according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

What Qualifications and Experience Do You Need?

A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
At least one year of experience in a similar or relevant role.
Good communication skills, both speaking and writing.
Team player who listens and pays attention to detail.
Ready and willing to learn new skills.
Focused on safety and following rules at all times.

Other Important Info

You must pass a safety and background screening, including checks for any criminal record.
Be prepared to work rotating shifts.
Overtime work might be required occasionally.
You should be physically, mentally, and medically fit to handle the demands of the job.
