What You’ll Be Doing Every Day

Here’s what your daily work will look like if you get hired as a G4S Teller:

Cash Handling & Processing

Receive cash bags and containers from clients.
Make sure everything received is correctly labelled and recorded.
Count and balance the money using special machines and tools.
Reconcile (double-check) cash totals with what was expected.
Track everything on the internal system to avoid errors.

Sorting & Packing

Sort coins and banknotes by value and condition.
Pack money properly to be stored or sent to banks and customers.
Make sure the packed amounts are accurate and balanced.

Equipment Operation

Operate different high-speed machines to help with processing.
Learn different areas of the cash processing department, so you can help where needed.

Customer Accuracy

Spot any cash differences and report them to your supervisor.
Make sure customers’ money is handled correctly and safely.

Safety & Training

Follow company safety rules at all times.
Wear protective clothing during all shifts.
Attend safety meetings and refresher sessions.
Always work in a way that keeps you and your team safe.
Complete all required job and safety training.

What You Need to Apply

If you’re interested in this job, here are the basic requirements you need:

Education & Experience

A Grade 12 certificate, preferably with maths or accounting.
1–3 years of experience working as a teller or in cash handling will give you an advantage.
Basic knowledge of how financial transactions work.

Skills You Should Have

Able to use a computer and understand systems.
Good at both talking and writing in English.
Careful and strict when following rules.
Able to work well in a team.
Strong focus on customers’ needs.
Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physically able to move and carry heavy bags and trolleys.
Stay calm and focused under pressure.
Very careful with details and numbers.
