What This Job Is All About

As a Sales Assistant, your main role is to help customers and increase store sales. You will be the face of the brand, helping people choose outfits, understand products, and enjoy their shopping experience.

Your Daily Responsibilities

Working at GALXBOY means staying active and focused throughout your shift. Your tasks will include:

Customer Service

Greeting customers when they enter the store
Helping customers find what they are looking for
Giving product advice and recommendations
Upselling and cross-selling products
Promoting payment options like Payflex, Happy Pay, and others
Making sure customers feel welcome and valued

Visual Merchandising

Keeping the store clean and attractive
Hanging, folding, and organizing clothes properly
Tagging and pricing items correctly
Restocking shelves and displays
Following store layout and display guidelines

Stock Control

Keeping the stockroom clean and organized
Making sure items are easy to find
Reporting low stock and popular items to managers
Helping manage stock levels

Daily Operations

Following work schedules and time rules
Clocking in and out correctly
Handling payments using the POS system
Processing cash and card transactions
Making sure all transactions are accurate

Skills You Need to Succeed

To do well in this job, you need to have the right attitude and basic skills.

Here are the key skills required:

Good communication skills
Confidence when speaking to customers
Basic computer skills
Ability to work in a team
Strong customer service skills
Attention to detail

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)

Experience That Will Give You an Advantage
