🛒 What Does a General Assistant Do?

As a General Assistant, you help keep the store running smoothly and make sure every customer has a great experience. You’ll work closely with your team to:

• ✅ Greet customers with a smile and help them find what they need
• ✅ Share information about meat products and show customers how to use them
• ✅ Handle payments, issue receipts, and manage cash/card transactions
• ✅ Unpack deliveries, stock shelves and fridges, and keep the butchery area clean
• ✅ Help with stock takes and ensure shelves are always neat and full
• ✅ Report and fix incorrect price tags
• ✅ Promote store specials and daily deals to boost sales
• ✅ Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized

🎯 Who Can Apply?

You don’t need a diploma or years of experience – but you do need to meet a few basic requirements:

✅ Minimum Requirements:

• South African citizen preferred
• Matric certificate
• Clear criminal record
• Must live within 25 km of the store
• Able to communicate clearly in English
• Some experience as a General Assistant, Clerk, or Customer Service Worker
