🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing as a General Duty Assistant

This job is all about keeping the plant in great shape, making sure everything runs smoothly and safely. You’ll be involved in hands-on work, supporting the team to ensure that the facility is always clean, safe, and running efficiently.

Here are your main tasks:

• Housekeeping: Keep all work areas clean, tidy, and free of hazards. Clean equipment and floors as needed.
• Equipment Maintenance: Help maintain machinery and tools to keep them working properly. Assist technicians where required.
• Forklift Operation: Use forklifts safely to move materials and assist in daily tasks (training provided if needed).

In short, you’ll be the person the team counts on to make sure the plant stays in top shape.

📋 What You’ll Need to Apply

You don’t need a degree for this job, but you do need to have some experience and be ready to work. Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Grade 12 or N3 Certificate (you must have completed high school).
• At least 2 years of experience working in a heavy industry or factory environment.
• Experience working in a mechanical workshop is a big plus.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical work – know your way around tools and parts.
• Familiarity with hand tools, safety gear, and mechanical equipment.
• Training or experience in the safe use of tools is preferred.
• Be someone who takes safety seriously and follows instructions.
• Be physically fit – you’ll be moving, lifting, and standing throughout your shift.
• Willing to work overtime when needed.
