The job of a cleaner at Groenkloof National Park is more than just sweeping and mopping. You’ll be helping keep the offices and facilities spotless, welcoming, and ready for daily operations and important meetings.

You’ll also assist in small but vital tasks like preparing boardrooms, replenishing items like soap and toilet paper, and even helping with stocktaking. It’s a role that requires responsibility, pride in your work, and the ability to stay organized.

Your Daily Tasks Will Include:

• Cleaning offices, toilets, reception areas, hallways, and other open spaces every day.

• Making sure boardrooms and meeting areas are clean, set up, and refreshments are ready.

• Emptying trash bins and taking waste to the correct collection spots.

• Replenishing items such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.

• Reporting anything broken or out of place and helping make sure it gets fixed.

• Following lost-and-found rules when items are misplaced.

• Using cleaning materials responsibly and keeping track of what you use.

• Helping with stock control, such as issuing and receiving supplies and doing stock counts.

• Being available to step in during emergencies or when extra help is needed.

• Keeping up high cleaning standards and following instructions from your supervisor.

What You Need to Apply

Before you apply, make sure you meet the following basic requirements:

• You must have Grade 12 (Matric).

• You need 1–2 years of experience doing cleaning work in a professional space.

• Experience in stocktaking will be a bonus.

• You should know about First Aid and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) rules.

• Punctuality, neatness, and responsibility are very important for this job.

• You need to be someone who can work under pressure and still do a great job.

• Good hygiene habits and being reliable are a must.

• You must follow health and safety rules at all times.
