Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited is giving young South Africans a chance to kick-start their careers through its Internship Programme and P1/P2 Experiential Training Opportunities for the period 2025 to 2027.

This programme is designed for graduates, diplomates, and students who need real workplace experience to complete their studies. It offers both career development and hands-on industry training at one of the top mining companies in South Africa.

Who Can Apply for the Harmony Gold Internship?

This opportunity is open to a wide range of young people who meet the following criteria:

  1. Graduates and Diplomates who have completed their tertiary qualifications at a recognised South African university or college.
  2. Students needing P1/P2 workplace exposure – you must include a recent letter from your institution confirming that this experience is required for you to graduate.
  3. Local community members who live in areas where Harmony operates, as well as children of Harmony employees.
  4. Be a South African citizen under the age of 35.
  5. Must live in one of the following districts:
    • Free State: Lejweleputswa, Matjhabeng, Masilonyana
    • North West: Dr Kenneth Kaunda, Ratlou, Moqhaka
    • Gauteng: City of Johannesburg, Merafong City, West Rand

Important: Applicants must not have benefited from a similar internship before. All shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo medical examinations and security screening before being placed.
