There are 15 positions available, spread across different focus areas:

  • Processing Traineeship – Paarl (1 position)
  • Packaging Traineeship – Cape Town & Johannesburg (7 positions)
  • Engineering Traineeship – Cape Town & Johannesburg (7 positions)

Who Can Apply – Minimum Requirements

Before you apply, make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • Education: Degree or BTech in BSc Engineering.
  • Citizenship: South African citizen.
  • Location: Willing to relocate or work in Cape Town or Johannesburg.
  • Computer Literacy: Must be able to work with technical tools and software.
  • Academic Record: Strong performance throughout your studies.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well with diverse groups of people.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Leadership Potential: Ability to take initiative and thrive in challenging situations.
  • Background Check: Clear criminal record.

If you have previous experience in internships or projects, it will be an added advantage.


What You Will Do in the Programme

During the 18-month programme, you will be actively involved in Heineken’s operations and gain practical experience in various areas.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Learning the entire supply chain process with a focus on engineering.
  • Working in different departments to understand how the business operates.
  • Participating in planning and operations support functions.
  • Leading improvement projects that make a real impact.
  • Taking part in job rotations to gain experience in multiple roles.
  • Collaborating with experts on technical projects and learning directly from mentors.
  • Completing an Action Learning Project that addresses real business challenges.
  • Developing leadership skills to prepare you for mid- to senior-level positions after the programme.
