Job Description:

As a Butchery General Worker, you will be responsible for various tasks related to meat preparation, packaging, and customer service. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations in the butchery area.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the butchery area and meat display fridge.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene policies.
Weigh, price, and package meat products accurately.

Assist customers in selecting products and addressing their needs.
Pack meat into retail or bulk packaging for sale.
Ensure that all meat is fresh and properly packed.
Assist with stock takes and follow management instructions as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 is essential.
Knowledge of meat preparation techniques and cuts.
Prior experience in a butchery environment is an advantage.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Must demonstrate integrity, honesty, and reliability.
