Where You’ll Work

You’ll be based at Reddam House Waterfall, a private school that caters to students from as young as 1 year old up to Grade 12. It’s located in a calm and natural area, surrounded by wood and stone buildings, creating a peaceful space for both learning and working. What You’ll Be Doing as a Cleaner

Your main job is to make sure the school is always clean, neat, and safe for students, teachers, and visitors. Here’s what you’ll be doing every day:

Empty classroom bins and clean them properly.
Wipe down desks, chairs, walls, and other surfaces.
Sweep and mop floors in hallways, classrooms, and bathrooms.
Vacuum any areas with carpets.
Clean and store all cleaning tools and chemicals in the right places.
Make sure cleaning supplies don’t run out – and let someone know when they do.
Wash and pack away crockery, cups, and utensils neatly.
Set up crockery and drinks for meetings or events.
Clean up after school functions or special events.
Disinfect surfaces to keep everyone healthy.
Let management know if anything is broken, missing, or needs replacing.
Be available to work some weekends or after-hours when needed.

What You Need to Apply

You don’t need fancy qualifications or years of experience. If you are hardworking, dependable, and can follow instructions, then you already have most of what’s needed.

Here’s what they’re looking for:

Some knowledge of health and safety rules (you’ll be trained if you’re new).
A good understanding of how to clean properly.
You must be fit enough to do physical work.
Be on time, trustworthy, and take your job seriously.
Know how to manage your time and get things done.
Work well with others and on your own.
Be aware of safety rules when handling cleaning chemicals.
Be able to read basic instructions.
Know a little math to measure cleaning materials correctly.
