About the Office Cleaner Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness across four business units. This includes cleaning offices, reception areas, kitchens, boardrooms, bathrooms, training facilities, storerooms, and other shared spaces.

You will also help ensure that cleaning supplies are available, report maintenance issues, and support office events by preparing and cleaning venues before and after functions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As an Office Cleaner, your daily responsibilities may include:

General Cleaning

  • Clean offices and workspaces every day.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
  • Dust desks, furniture, cabinets, windowsills, and office equipment.
  • Empty waste bins and replace bin liners.
  • Dispose of waste in the correct disposal areas.
  • Keep all work areas clean, tidy, and presentable.

Reception and Common Areas

  • Clean reception and waiting areas throughout the day.
  • Ensure entrance areas remain clean and welcoming.
  • Dust furniture, doors, glass surfaces, and display areas.

Boardrooms and Training Rooms

  • Clean meeting rooms before and after meetings.
  • Prepare boardrooms and training venues.
  • Arrange furniture when needed.
  • Keep presentation equipment areas clean.
  • Refill refreshments and meeting supplies when required.

Kitchen and Break Areas

  • Clean kitchen counters, cupboards, sinks, tables, and appliances.
  • Wash and store dishes, cutlery, and kitchen utensils.
  • Clean refrigerators, microwaves, and other shared appliances.
  • Maintain employee lunch and break areas.
  • Refill items such as soap, paper towels, coffee, tea, sugar, and milk where necessary.

Bathrooms

  • Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, basins, mirrors, and floors.
  • Refill toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, and air fresheners.
  • Report plumbing problems or leaks immediately.
  • Ensure bathrooms remain clean and fully stocked throughout the working day.

Storerooms and Supplies

  • Keep cleaning equipment and storerooms neat and organised.
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and report low stock.
  • Assist with stock counts of cleaning materials.

Health and Safety

  • Follow company health and safety procedures.
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely.
  • Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance issues.
  • Maintain workplace hygiene standards at all times.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with special cleaning projects.
  • Help prepare venues for office events and clean them afterwards.
  • Carry out any other reasonable cleaning duties assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements
