About the Learnership Programme

The Khumani Iron Ore Mine Learnerships are designed to help learners grow and develop within the company while equipping them with industry-relevant skills. Learners will be appointed on a 24-month fixed-term contract and will receive a monthly stipend according to the company’s remuneration practices. Minimum Entry Requirements

To be considered for the learnerships, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science (compulsory).
• Must be medically fit as per the Mine Health and Safety Act (29/1996).
• A valid Code B/EB driver’s license.
• Willingness to undergo training on different shifts.

Skills and Competencies

Khumani Mine is looking for learners who have:

• Basic computer skills.
• Good hand-eye-foot-ear coordination.
• Willingness to work hard and learn continuously.
• Discipline and the ability to follow instructions.

Training Details

• Duration: 24 months fixed-term contract.
• Learners will undergo structured training aligned with mining standards.
• A monthly stipend will be provided.
• Important: Assmang Ltd is not obliged to employ learners after completion of the programme.

Additional Information

• Appointment will only be made after successful medical certification.
• Applicants may be required to undergo a Dover assessment.
