What This Job is All About

As a Hut Attendant, you will be responsible for making sure the visitor accommodation areas — like chalets, ablution blocks, and laundry facilities — are always clean, neat, and welcoming. You’ll help keep Skukuza Rest Camp running smoothly and ensure guests have a great stay in the heart of the wild.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning chalets, bathrooms, and outdoor areas to high hygiene standards.
• Keeping track of inventory items like cleaning supplies and guest amenities.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or broken equipment.
• Assisting with laundry duties and keeping everything fresh and clean.
• Helping with general tasks around the camp when needed.
• Occasionally helping collect supplies.

You’ll work in a beautiful, natural environment — but the job requires responsibility, teamwork, and attention to detail.

What You Need to Apply

To be considered for one of these positions, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Knowledge of hygiene and housekeeping
• Understanding of health and safety rules in a workplace
• Good communication skills in both written and spoken English
• Some supervisory skills are a bonus (but not a must)
• Ability to use and take care of cleaning tools and equipment
