Position: Buyers Assistant
As a Buyers Assistant, you’ll be helping the buying team manage products, samples, and supplier communications. Your role will ensure smooth operations and contribute to delivering the best products to Markham customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Keep track of product samples and maintain the sample room.
- Create and update spreadsheets and reports.
- Ensure quality control and sample audits.
- Handle all pre-presentation preparations.
- Load products into the TFG system and manage related admin tasks.
- Communicate with suppliers to gather product details and updates.
- Process and update product changes, informing relevant teams.
- Assist customer service in handling product queries, complaints, and pricing.
- Monitor incoming stock and coordinate with suppliers.
- Support the buyer with order placements and retail sample management.
- Collect images and samples for weekly reports and meetings.
- Prepare documents and products for quarterly SWOT meetings.
- Conduct competitor (Comp Shop) research to stay updated on market trends.
What You Need to Apply:
- Education: Matric, Higher Certificate, or Diploma.
- Experience: Previous experience in Buying Admin.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the retail buying process.
- Technical Skills: Basic Excel, Word, and Email knowledge.
