As a Pharmacy Sales Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist them in finding products, and provide information on promotions and special offers.
- Sales Transactions: Handle payments accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, process refunds, and balance sales receipts according to company procedures.
- Merchandising: Restock shelves, arrange visual displays, and maintain the sales floor in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular price audits to identify and correct discrepancies, ensuring accurate pricing.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about new products to offer advice and recommendations to customers.
- Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization within the store to provide a pleasant shopping experience.
- Security: Monitor customer activity to prevent shoplifting and report any suspicious behavior to management.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure efficient store operations and customer satisfaction.
📋 What You Need to Apply
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
- Experience: At least 5 months of experience operating a till point in a retail environment and proven retail sales experience.
- Skills:
- Computer literacy.
- Bilingual, preferably fluent in Afrikaans and English.
- Engaging and friendly personality.
- Knowledge of payment procedures (e.g., cash, cheque, bank card, credit cards, coupons, vouchers).
- Understanding of stock-receiving procedures and merchandising standards.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
