Job Description:
As a General Worker at Mega Midas, you’ll be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep the warehouse running smoothly. From stock taking and binning to picking and packing, your role is essential in ensuring that the warehouse is organized and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
Binning:
- Accurately bin incoming merchandise and replenish inventory as needed.
- Assign new products to the correct bin locations and ensure updates are reported and recorded.
- Assist with replenishment and ensure all incoming goods are received and checked per company standards.
Picking:
- Ensure timely picking of customer and branch orders to meet cut-off times.
- Pick from bulk locations only when necessary to prevent breakage of pack sizes.
- Follow all work instructions provided by superiors to maintain efficient operations.
- Participate in stock take procedures and ensure daily housekeeping is performed.
- Conduct double checks to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and prevent inventory loss.
Scanner Control:
- Issue and book out scanners to operators daily using the electronic app.
- Inspect and return scanners, reporting any damages to the supervisor.
- Maintain the daily scanner issue spreadsheet.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 or equivalent in Literacy and Numeracy.
- At least 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of spares, motor, or engine parts, and familiarity with warehouse systems and procedures.
Skills and Personal Attributes:
- Efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail are crucial.
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to go the extra mile.
