Managed People Solutions is offering an exciting 12-month Merchandising Learnership Programme that gives young people the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience while learning practical retail and merchandising skills. You’ll be trained by experienced professionals and get paid R4,000 per month while you learn!

What Is the Merchandising Learnership About?

This programme is designed to equip unemployed youth with critical industry skills. You’ll be trained to work as a Junior Merchandiser, helping major retail stores stay organized, visually appealing, and stocked with the right products at the right time.

You’ll learn while you work, gaining real experience in stores and building your CV for future job opportunities.


What You’ll Be Doing as a Junior Merchandiser:

As part of your learnership, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying which products should be placed on shelves
  • Drawing stock from storage or receiving areas
  • Checking product quality, vintage (date), pricing, and rotation
  • Following specific merchandising plans and instructions
  • Giving feedback on customer complaints or product issues
  • Keeping track of stock, promotions, and new products
  • Recording your merchandising activities accurately
  • Reporting any out-of-stock items to the Retail Sales Manager (RSM)
  • Visiting stores based on a fixed call cycle

You’ll gain practical experience in real retail environments, making you a strong candidate for future permanent roles.


Who Can Apply?

To qualify for this learnership, you must:

  • Be between 18 and 28 years old
  • Have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
  • Have passed Mathematics and English in school
  • Be currently unemployed
  • Be willing to commit to 12 months of full-time learning and working
  • Live in or close to Cape Town South (since you’ll need to report to your store)
