The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) is looking for 200 new trainees for their Metro Police Training Intake for 2025. This 18-month training programme is open to qualified South African citizens who live in Tshwane. If you’ve got your Matric, a driver’s license, and the passion to serve your community, this is your chance to kick-start a career in policing.
This is not just any job. It’s an opportunity to change your life, earn while you train, and secure a long-term career protecting your community. TMPD is offering a structured, paid training programme that prepares you to become a fully qualified Metro Police Officer. Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend during the training, and if they complete it successfully, they may be offered permanent jobs as Metro Police Officers.
The TMPD Training Programme is a full-time course designed for young South Africans who want to become Metro Police Officers in the City of Tshwane. For 18 months, selected trainees will receive practical and classroom training in three main areas:
