Midas is looking for a General Worker to join their dynamic team at the Polokwane branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general warehouse duties such as stock taking, binning, picking, packing, checking, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Binning:
- Ensure incoming merchandise is correctly binned and inventory replenishment follows standard operating procedures.
- Allocate new products to correct bin locations in the warehouse and update bins accordingly.
- Assist in replenishing stock from bulk to pick locations.
- Check and receive all incoming goods as per company standards.
Picking:
- Timely picking of customer and branch orders to meet order cut-off times.
- Ensure bulk location picking is done only when necessary, such as when stock is depleted or picking bulk orders to prevent breakage.
- Follow procedures to ensure efficient customer satisfaction.
- Participate in stock take procedures and perform daily housekeeping.
- Conduct double checks to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and prevent inventory loss.
Scanner Control:
- Issue and book out scanners to operators daily.
- Inspect and book scanners back into stock on the electronic app, and report any damage to the supervisor.
- Complete the daily scanner issue spreadsheet.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Grade 12 or equivalent literacy and numeracy skills.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (desirable).
- Knowledge of spares/motor/engine parts, warehouse systems, and procedures.
