In this role, you’ll be responsible for various tasks that keep the warehouse in top shape, including stock handling, packing, and maintaining cleanliness.

What You’ll Do as a General Worker:

As a General Worker, your day-to-day responsibilities will be crucial for ensuring that the warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Binning: You’ll be in charge of sorting and organizing incoming stock in the correct warehouse locations. This includes assigning new products with proper bin numbers and ensuring that inventory is replenished when needed.

Picking and Packing: You’ll help with picking and packing customer orders in a timely manner to meet deadlines. You’ll also ensure that bulk locations are used properly to avoid damaging products and maintain order sizes.

Scanner Control: You’ll issue scanners to operators, check them for damage, and record their status in the system. You’ll also ensure that any issues are reported to the supervisor.

General Housekeeping: You’ll help keep the warehouse clean and organized every day. Housekeeping ensures that everything runs smoothly, and stock is easy to locate when needed.

In this role, your key objective is to help maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring that stock is properly handled, orders are accurate, and warehouse operations meet efficiency targets.

What You’ll Need to Qualify:

To apply for this General Worker position, you need to meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent in literacy and numeracy.
• Ideally, 3 years of experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Knowledge of spare parts, motor or engine parts, and familiarity with warehouse systems and procedures is a bonus.
