What You Will Do as a Finance Intern
- Process management expense payments using the JDE system.
- Investigate and resolve accounts payable issues.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts.
- Update the fixed asset register on the JDE system and handle depreciation journals.
- Reconcile fixed assets regularly.
- Manage company credit card administration.
- Reconcile monthly Visa Spend System transactions with the JDE General Ledger.
- Administer fleet cards including new applications, cancellations, and changes.
- Prepare monthly accrual schedules.
- Assist with quarterly submissions to Reserve Bank and SASRIA.
- Participate in special ad hoc projects as needed.
Required Qualifications and Knowledge
- A finance qualification such as a BCom Degree or equivalent is needed.
- Understanding of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Familiarity with Tax Acts, especially VAT.
- Experience or knowledge of JD Edwards General Ledger (JDE system).
- Basic Excel skills.
