Momentum Health Unemployed Youth Contact Centre Learnership Programme 2026

Momentum Health, part of the Momentum Metropolitan Group, invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for the Contact Centre Learnership Programme 2026. This learnership is open to unemployed South African youth, with applications closing on 12 January 2026. The programme runs for 12 months, starting on 01 February 2026 and ending on 31 January 2027, and will be based in Centurion, Gauteng.

This opportunity is designed for young people who want a real entry point into the medical aid, health insurance, and contact centre industry, while gaining a nationally recognised qualification and real workplace experience in a professional corporate environment.

What You Will Learn During the Programme

Practical Skills That Employers Value

Throughout the 12 months, learners will receive both theoretical and practical training. The programme focuses on building real workplace skills that employers look for.

You will learn about:

  • Medical aid and health insurance products
  • Health care benefits administration
  • Client service and advisory skills
  • Contact centre operations

This training is supported by assessments and workplace evaluations to ensure learners meet national standards.


Duties and Responsibilities During the Learnership

This is an active and demanding programme. Learners are expected to take responsibility for their development and performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Attending classroom-based training sessions
  • Taking part in practical, on-the-job training
  • Learning Momentum Health products, systems, and procedures
  • Handling client queries under supervision
  • Using internal systems and contact centre tools
  • Completing workplace logbooks
  • Compiling a Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) for SETA submission
  • Completing formative and summative assessments
  • Writing and passing the EISA examination
  • Maintaining professional behaviour and living Momentum Group values

Learners are treated as developing professionals, not observers.


Minimum Requirements to Apply

To qualify for the Momentum Contact Centre Learnership Programme 2026, applicants must meet all of the following requirements.

Education Requirements

  • Completed Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Mathematics: Minimum 40%
    OR
  • Mathematical Literacy: Minimum 60%
  • English plus one other South African language: Minimum 50%

Personal Requirements

  • South African citizen
  • Between 18 and 30 years old
  • Unemployed
  • Not studying (full-time or part-time)
  • Must not have completed the same learnership before
  • Able to commit to the full 12-month programme
  • Able to commute to Centurion independently

Added Advantage

  • Basic computer skills (email, MS Word, internal systems)
