What the Short-Term Insurance Learnership Is All About

The Momentum Insure Learnership runs from 1 March 2026 to 28 February 2027. During this period, participants will receive structured training and hands-on experience in short-term insurance.

At the end of the programme, successful learners will receive a FETC: Short-Term Insurance qualification at NQF Level 4. This qualification can help open doors to future jobs in insurance, customer service, administration, and financial services.

The learnership allows you to learn how insurance works, how companies serve customers, how policies are managed, and how professional workplaces operate. You will also develop important life skills such as communication, teamwork, time management, and responsibility.

Who Can Apply for This Learnership

This learnership is open to young South Africans who meet specific requirements. Make sure you qualify before applying.

Age Requirement

You must be between 18 and 25 years old, including turning 25 in 2026. A copy of your ID must be attached to your application.

Education Requirements

You must have passed Matric. English must be passed with at least 50% or higher. Mathematics is beneficial but not compulsory.

If you are currently completing Matric, you may submit your preliminary results.

A certified copy of your Matric certificate or prelim results must be attached.

Language and Computer Skills

You must be able to read, speak, and write in English. You should also be comfortable using a computer.

Employment and Study Status

You must:

  • Be currently unemployed or have no work experience
  • Not be studying at any other institution
  • Not have any post-Matric qualification
  • Not be registered for another learnership
